When the pandemic started, millions of students suddenly found themselves stuck at home. Parents & teachers scrambled to find ways to make online learning work. My two boys, Cameron (age 13) and Aaron (age 10) learned to finish their school work quickly so that they could spend the rest of the day playing video games with their friends. This would have carried on until I decided that a parental intervention was necessary. I began lesson planning, handed out assignments and even gave them homework. Of course, my lesson plans were completely different than anything they’d ever learn in school…

Instead of pretending to know how to teach grammar & algebra, I decided that Cameron & Aaron would benefit more from learning about how to start a business, how to write a financial plan and the importance of creating multiple income streams. I remember telling them, “I’m going to share with you some short-cuts you can take to fast track your success. They aren’t magic beans that will automatically make you rich, they’re more like magic seeds; plant them early, work hard at taking care of them, and watch them grow into something wonderful.”

Cameron and Aaron are both genuinely excited about what they’ve learned, and I know that if my material passes their litmus test, other parents might benefit too. “Teach Your Kids How to be Rich” will be released this September, right in time for the new school year!
